Course content
|
Topics covered: Graphic communication, basic terminology. Awareness to Czech National Standards. Principles of technical drawing, lines, formats, scales and ability to use engineering tables. Projection to three planes of basic geometric objects. Drawing of basic geometric objects. Spatial projection, intersections of simple objects. Sections and cross-sections. Drawing of simple machine components in sections. Application of sections and cross-sections for drawings. Principles of dimensioning and lettering. Dimensioning and engineering drawings. Prescription of accuracy and tolerance of dimensions, methods of placement, profile tolerances. Practical examples of tolerance calculations and their recording. Projection of basic machinery components: bolts, nuts, washers. Drawing bolted connections, usage of engineering tables. Drawing of shafts, plugs, keys, springs and pins. Drawing of bearings, springs and timing wheels. Drawing of fixed joints, welding, brazing and adhesion. Drawing of simple welded assemblies and rivet joints. Drawing and importance of schemes. Production drawings, assembly drawings, letter blocks.

Learning outcomes
|
Theoretical acquaint students with problems rendering of machine parts and assemblies. Interpretation emphasizes the types of imaging methods used in engineering graphics. Special emphasis then placed on a rectangular display elements and objects. It acquaints students with the standards that define the essential elements necessary for creating technical documentation. In conclusion, then students with different types and ways of displaying in other technical fields than engineering (construction, electrical).
Students will complete a total of five parts block of instruction during the teaching semester in the range of 4 full-time teaching units. Each teaching block is completed by repeating the general subject matter. Graduation requirements reflects the completion in full-time study - ie with a test and sub-test, which consists of a practical test and an oral part.

Prerequisites
|
The practical application of the knowledge that students acquire in the lectures is aimed primarily at students' ability to independently create technical drawings of objects, basic machine components and assemblies for mechanical objects. Students during cycle exercise working on individual assignments, which form self-directed activities to generate the necessary skills students need for further education.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam, Written exam
Requirements to receive a credit: 1) At least 90% attendance rate at seminars. 2) Written paper. 3) Records on individual seminars. Requirements to pass exam: 1) Passing the practical part of the exam (test) 2) Passing the oral exam.
