Course content
Structure of lectures: Organization of household operation. Safety and hygiene of work in household. Utilities, definition of terminology, structure. Water distribution system in household, safety operation and maintenance. Energy sources, structure. Energy sources - lights in household, types of lights. Energy sources - heat sources, types of fuel, heating equipment. Environmental and economic aspects of using energy sources in households. Electrical appliances in household: classification, principle of operation, parameters, principles of maintenance and safety of operations. Requirements imposed on devices, equipment and appliances used in household. Electronic security systems. Mechanical security systems. Minor repairs in households. Organization of operations in households (finances, simple payments, home accounting). Structure of seminars: Analysis of information sources on a structure of utilities. Analysis of knowledge structure about energy sources. Analysis of application options for environmental and economic approaches to the process of use of energy sources in household operations. Analysis of a set of parameters and requirements imposed on devices, equipment and appliances used in households. Application of principles of maintenance and safety in breakdown to specific types of electrical appliances used in households. Analysis of purpose and parameters of individual types of security systems. Technology of procedures and activities applied in minor maintenance activities in household. Analysis of an information structure in economic management of household.

Learning outcomes
Gaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills in service and technologies of households. Standard and above-standard facilities in households, their chracteristics and use.
Ability to implement basic knowledge from the field of general technical subject into teaching at basic schools

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

Conditions to pass colloquium. Participation in seminars (75% attendance rate). Elaboration of a seminar thesis on a given topic. Passing the colloquium.
