Learning outcomes
This course was prepared and is implemented within the following project: Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028 (INTEFTEK). The aim of the course is to develop all four language competences in English: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The course develops the students' abilities to use English as a means of communication in the context of various life situations and develops vocabulary related to their prospective profession. The course provides a basis for the application of acquired language skills (e.g. in communication with foreign students at the faculty) and allows their further development in a follow-up course KSK/EFL3.
Upon completion of the course the level of language competences of the student corresponds to A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (see http://www.inteftek.upol.cz/images/download/SERR_sebehodnoceni.pdf). By completing the course the student has met the requirement for enrolment in the course English as a foreign language: Level 3 (KSK/EFL3).
Prerequisites
A prerequisite for enrolment in the course is either achieving the required result in the placement test or completion of the KSK/EFL1 course. To verify the level the student is obliged to take a placement test in the Moodle system. To access the placement test the student must first enrol in the FTK/PTEST course, after that the test will be accessible in the Moodle system. The course is primarily designed for FTK UP students.
