Course content
1. Introduction to Counseling 2. The Helping Relationship and the Hurting Relationship 3. The Basics of Physical Education for Lifetime Wellness 4. People with special needs - the use of physical activity as prescription for emotional and mental wellness 5. Special programs related to promotion of health 6. Particular issues - overweight, stress, depression, family, aging 7. Outdoor activities/Indoor activities 8. Healthy lifestyle/quality of life 9. Community program (each person will be part of a counseling program in this community) 10. Community program 11. Community program 12. Community program 13. Student presentation

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Methods of Written Work, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to provide insight and understanding of counseling in physical education, sport and recreation. Students will learn about how to help other people, as well as themselves, in relation to three main areas of physical activities.
Students understand the basics of counseling in physical education, sport and recreation. Students see each person as a unique individual and therefore they perceive an individual approach in helping other people, as well as themselves, in relation to three main areas of physical activities.

Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work
