The course is taught in Czech. The programme of the course covers e.g.: 1. Visuality, visual respresntation, methods of analysis, plurality of perspectives and interpretations; 2. Visual representations of the "other"; 3. Photography; 4. Ethnographic Film; 5. Visuality and the Internet; 6. Visuality and identity; 7. Power of the image: authority, order, politics; 8. Visuality and religion; 10. Visuality and memory, etc.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims at developing the knowledge of analysing visual culture from the perspective of Cultural Anthropology. The course is taught in Czech.
After the successful completion of the course, the students are able to: know the approaches of Cultural Anthropology towards studying visual culture; analyse visual culture from the perspective of Cultural Anthropology. The course is taught in Czech.
