Course content

Learning outcomes
The aim of the seminars Field research 1 and 2 is to develop students' skills for working in the researched space. The seminars will take the form of short-term stays at selected locations in the Czech Republic and abroad, where students under the guidance of teachers will implement partial anthropological investigation. Emphasis will be placed on the implementation of the various stages of research, various research techniques (observation, interview) and the ethical dilemmas of research positions. The knowledge and skills gained during the workshops students will use during the bachelor thesis.
After successful completion of the course the student will be able to implement and evaluate his/her own field research, select and justify the choice of the appropriate research methods and techniques, to identify and resolve ethical dilemmas connected with the research, specify and argue the topic of final work, work with literature, including bibliographic citations and referencing, specify goals, object and subject of his research project.
Prerequisites
Students double-subject of cultural anthropology will record it as a compulsory subject in the case of election of that field as a diploma. In othe case the subject can be written as a course of category "B", ie. compulsory optional.

Seminar Work

Consultation with teachers, field work during 13 weeks, seminar work 10 ns.
