Introduction to the nature of the course Magic, amulet and illusion of control Research on the manifestations of spirituality in the specific environment of management professions Woman in the context of Judaism: The historical, religious and social evolution of the role and status of the Jewish woman The Jewish Diaspora: Acculturation and adaptation of religious aspects Mead, sex and laughter - ideas of carnal pleasures in Viking mythology Narcissism, borderline disorder, depression - romanticizing mental illness in the figure of Loki Cultural and anthropological conditioning of the understanding of time The dynamics of religious narrative in the context of the temporal dimension Research on rituals in hunting practice Religion in prison Religious exodus and the transmission of religiosity Religion in the laboratory

Learning outcomes
The course introduces the current research topics of academic staff in the field of religious studies, doctoral students at the Department of Sociology, Andragogy and Cultural Anthropology of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prague. It is designed as a professional lecture on a selected relevant topic in the field of religious studies and as a seminar discussion with students of the course. The teaching is carried out under the professional supervision of the seminar supervisor and the seminar leader.
After successful completion of the course, the student will be able to know the theoretical approaches to contemporary research topics in the study of religions, define the theoretical approaches to contemporary research topics in the study of religions, discuss the theoretical approaches to contemporary research topics in the study of religions, know the methodological approaches to contemporary research topics in the study of religions, define the methodological approaches to contemporary research topics in the study of religions, discuss methodological approaches to contemporary research topics in the study of religions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Dialog, Seminar Work

Attendance at seminars (min. 80%). - Homework (reading assigned texts in Czech and English). - Active participation in group discussion. - Final colloquium (presentation of the paper according to the assignment, submission of the final thesis in the scope of 1500 words, discussion on the topic of the thesis); send the seminar paper to the course guarantor at the latest one week before the colloquium (tomas.bubik@upol.cz)
