Course content

Students are able to identify the basic contradictions in social reality and they are acquainted with argumentation for and against every of contradictory views. They can asses the structure of society. They can anylyze social problems.Students are able to understand a social structure and social processes. They can consider social phenomena from the different perspectives. They understand the substance of social problems. They are able to suggest how to solve social problems.
Prerequisites
Student has to pass the course General sociology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Students have to give an explanation of the key problems of sociological theories. They have to apply their knowledge on concrete social situations. They have to show knowledge of key problems of sociological concepts, theories and authors. They have to be able to analyze social problems. He must be abel to compare sociological perspectives, which are mentioned in a content of the course.
