Course content
The following sections will be covered in the course: 1. History and Literature: learning history through literature 2. Theoretical limits of the sub-genres "historical novel" and "travel diaries". 3. The influence of foreigners in Spain (Hans Christian Andersen, Olive Stone, Richard Ford, Dumas, etc.) 4. traveling diaries of Spaniards in America 5. The importance of the travel diaries to understand the history and culture of Spain and America. 6. Imagining history through the historical novel
