Course content

Learning outcomes
The course correlates various age groups and the objectives and tasks of physical activity recreation. Throughout the course the students are informed of the possibilities and methods of physical activity recreation for various age categories. Current research and scientific topics are interconnected with practical topics. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Based on the knowledge, skills and information acquired in previous courses (biomedicine, psychology, pedagogy, recreation and leisure studies, sociology, etc.) the students should be able to define specific age/developmental stages including developmental specifics with practical applications in the area of leisure-time activities. Upon completion of the course the student should be able to: * Define age/developmental stages (multi-dimensional approach), * Understand clients' specific needs and requirements, * Develop a leisure-time programme for specific groups (content, realization, forms and methods), * Explain and justify the role and significance of recreation in human life and in the society. Further outcomes include: * Cultivated presentation and general knowledge, * Positive professional attitude, * Scientific level of expression - scientific language, * Work with texts, text comprehension, * Problem solving, * Providing/accepting feedback.
Prerequisites
Mandatory prerequisite courses - none. To successfully complete the course, knowledge of the following subjects is required: socio-cultural kinanthropology, anthropomotorics, anatomy, physiology, philosophy, pedagogy, didactics, sociology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Seminar Work

Development of an own, creative and inspiring leisure-time programme (presentation/ppt) aimed at a specific age group. The project should meet the criteria of feasibility, sustainability, active and real management. The main outcome will be a presentation of the programme in a group - strengths and opportunities should be highlighted; weaknesses and threats should be mentioned as well. The last requirement is a final test.
