Course content
1. Practical and theoretical teaching of the technique and didactics of cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and turning. 2. Learning the methodological procedures and didactic approaches in teaching skiing. 3. Skiing technology. 4. Organization of skiing courses. 5. Safety in teaching and mountain winter sojourn courses. 6. Communication specifics in teaching skiing. 7. Teaching of children. 8. Application of gaming procedures in teaching skiing.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop and improve physical skills required for downhill skiing and cross-country skiing acquired in KPZP1. The course focuses on the training and improvement of downhill skiing turns, learning methodological procedures and didactic approaches in teaching skiing and organization of skiing courses. The course covers the planning and delivery of auxiliary programmes, events and the application of gaming procedures (programming methods) in teaching in skiing schools and outdoor winter sojourn courses. The course further includes organization and safety particulars of outdoor winter sojourn courses. In terms of group and personal training the course increases the level of skiing knowledge and skills, and develops practical activities required for the position of a skiing instructor. The course includes methodological presentations in a foreign language and methodological guiding. Upon successful completion of the course the students will receive a Skiing instructor "C" certificate. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student has improved downhill skiing and cross-country skiing skills. The student has learned the methodological procedures and didactic approaches in teaching skiing and is able to apply this knowledge in practice. The student has the prerequisites for the position of a skiing instructor. The student knows organizational and safety particulars of outdoor winter sojourn courses. The student understands downhill skiing and cross-country skiing in a wider context.
Prerequisites
The assessment of downhill skiing requirements in terms of the prerequisite course KPZP1 (Outdoor winter sojourn course) to be on a scale up to "D".

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student

Appropriate downhill and cross-country skiing technique, required level of practical methodological presentations, design and delivery of a project, demonstration of the knowledge of appropriate technique, methodology and didactics of training and teaching the required skills and management of leisure time in the mountains - final colloquium (in an international language). The course requires successful completion of the following courses: VYPOP (Outdoor education and sojourn), KPZP1 (Outdoor winter sojourn course 1).
