Learning outcomes
|
The course is of an outdoor nature and its aim is to establish cooperation between a human and a horse. The student is confronted with a number of challenges brought by elementary horse riding training and regular daily horse care. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student: - Has a command of elementary horse riding skills; - Is able to work independently in a stable and riding school; - Knows the principles of elementary horse care and used specific stable cleaning equipment; - Is knowledgeable about professional terminology; - Respects and observes work safety principles; - Uses safety equipment and eliminates health risks.

Prerequisites
|
The course is of an outdoor course nature. The course is a specialized course within Travel and Tourism and includes specific skills based on the interaction between a human and a horse. The course requires a positive attitude to animals and certain personality traits.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Didactic Test, Systematic Observation of Student
A requirement for successful completion of the course is active participation in all outdoor course activities, required level of horse riding and horse care and a theoretical knowledge test.
