Course content
The core support is Moodle - a software package for creating educational systems and electronic courses on the Internet (find on the UPOL portal) Content (the topics are freely intertwined in the classroom, so they are not hierarchically ranked): 1. Historical development of work with the group, theories pointing to the importance of small groups. Theoretical background of feedback. 2. Elements of Group Dynamics: Objectives and rules, Group Structure, Position and Role of Their Members, Leadership and Group Leadership, Motivation. Group atmosphere, interaction and communication. Group cohesion, tension, identity, conformance, subgroup formation. 3. Group development phase, group development factors, group typology. 4. Research methods for group dynamics analysis - sociometry, observation. 5. Group dynamics in residential education courses in nature, based on methods of program dramaturgy. Working with the group in the concept of interpersonal skills training for management purposes and in a concept focused on culture of self - reflection for personal - social development purposes. 6. Basic concepts in conducting and receiving feedback. 7. Issues of social perception. The method of participating and non-participating observations 8. Principles and rules of constructive feedback. Levels of reflection: group level, relationships (interpersonal), personality (intrapersonal). 9. Basic procedures for the creation and innovation of support techniques for reflection, generalization and transfer 10. Preparing questions and topics for feedback. Lead / facilitator role, intervention rate. Techniques and ways of conducting feedback. 11. Evaluation methods. Video analysis. 12. Security aspects and risk management related to feedback management and group dynamics. 13. Ethical aspects of management of reflection of experience, generalization and transfer of learning.

Learning outcomes
The main aim of the course is to offer the student basic necessary knowledge and skills for the use of feedback in a training and development courses, events, lifestyle activities, for work in the classroom and in training process. The student has a fundamental theoretical grounding for understanding the importance, potential and limitations of processing experience (ethical aspects of evaluation and feedback). Student has a repertoire of techniques supporting the reflective process and transfer of learning to real life. Student will learn to use some common methods of programme evaluation, adapt them for concrete situations and apply them in refining the dramaturgic structure of the course programme. The student is motivated to acquire knowledge in this area as a part of lifelong learning. The other main aim of the course is to understand the mechanisms and principles required for working with a group. - The course introduces the historical development of working with a group, theories underlying the significance of small groups, typology of groups and also the dynamics and structure of a group, positions and roles, rules of group functioning and various techniques of work around the basic axis of group work (self-experience practice). - Another aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of work with feedback and video analysis in educational and development courses or trainings, and aplication of lifestyle activities for work in the classroom, the training process, and lifestyle activities. Students will acquire basic theoretical background for understanding the meaning, possibilities and limitations of reflection (ethical aspects of evaluation and feedback). - Another aim of the course is the work with group dynamics in outdoor courses based on experiential learning methods.
Student completing the course: - understands the mechanisms and principles required for working with a group, knows the historical development of working with a group, theories underlying the significance of small groups and group typology, - is knowledgeable about group dynamics and structure, positions and roles, rules of group functioning and various techniques of work around the basic axis of group work, - is able to apply this knowledge in practical work with a group, - has a fundamental theoretical grounding for understanding the importance, potential and limitations of processing experience, - knows the basic necessary knowledge and skills for the use of feedback in a training and development courses, events, and lifestyle activities, for work in the classroom and in training process. - has a repertoire of techniques supporting the reflective process and transfer of learning to real life, - he has experience with video analysis as an effective learning feedback tool, - can use some common methods of programme evaluation, adapt them for concrete situations and apply them in refining the dramaturgic structure of the course programme.
