Course content
|
1. Education, objective and contents of education in the past and present, objective and contents of education at primary schools. Basic education terminology defining the contents of education (teaching plans, curricula, text books), their characteristics in approach of primary schools, general schools, national schools. 2. Teaching, overview of teaching concepts. The principle of teaching process, functions and stages of teaching process with respect to specifics of primary schools. 3. Didactic principles, methods and organizational forms of teaching, their specific features at primary schools. 4. Personality of a pre-school child and younge school child, starting school, school maturity, start of school attendance and adaptation of a child to a school. Role of a pre-school in preparing children for school.

Issues related to education. Theory of different types of applied methodology. Primary educational process. Pre-school and primary school relations. Education readiness Role of pre-school education in preparing pre-schoolers for a primary school education.
Students will be provided with competencies that will get to the content and objectives of the course.
