Course content
Students understand the concepts, objectives and tasks of natural science subjects. They analyze the content of the curriculum and deal with the issues of applying appropriate methods, forms and means in natural science education in particular periods. 1. Natural Science Education (curriculum content, expected outcomes, key competencies) 2. Didactics of 1st period natural science - specifics of concept and content 3. Didactics of 2nd period natural science - specifics of concept and content 4. Constructivist conception of educational process in natural science subjects 5. Cooperative strategies in natural science education 6. Experimentation and observation 7. Research-oriented teaching 8. Natural Science projects 9. Integrated thematic instruction 10. Environmental education 11. Traffic education 12. Didactic analysis and reflection of teaching using strategies of professional learning and peer cooperation

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Homework for Teaching - 4 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Methodology applied to natural sciences teaching - botany, zoology and physics. The main focus is on developping skills in this field for further broading of knowledge on secondary schools. Goals, content and role of natural sciences teaching. Right methods, forms and teaching aids for the education of natural sciences.
