Course content
Orientation to basic concepts; rendering the causes, manifestations and consequences of the mental load from the pupil and teacher point of view. (Further particulars - see the thesis presented in the annotation).

Learning outcomes
This discipline deals with aspects of mental stress in school environments from the perspective of the principal agents in the educational process - the teacher and the pupil (student). It includes: - Definitions of basic terms, such as mental stress, stress, stressors, factors impacting the degree of stress, salutors and risk factors, internal factors and external environment factors. - Reaction to stress, the stress management process, management strategies, prevention. - Interindividual, gender, and age variations in perception, interpretation, and management of mental stress. - Mental stress on a teacher, professional risks, the burnout syndrome, the causes, prevention, the results of research in this area thus far. - Mental stress on pupils and students, risk periods, classification of demanding situations, inadequate stress, family impact, the results of research thus far. - Possibilities for preventing disproportionate mental stress in school environments.
Students will be able to: draw conclusions for increasing resistance to stress and stress management skills to evaluate the basic trends of scientific research in the school burden on students and teachers at home and abroad, implement the lessons learned in the design of the research project dissertation and interpretation of data obtained.
Prerequisites
Assumed continuity of the knowledge gained in the teaching of psychological disciplines in the master's program based on the literature. It is assumed that the student is able to: - Analyze the basic concepts in psychological disciplines completed, - Explain the psychological aspects of educational reality

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Literature study, active participation in seminars, working up tasks according to teacher's requirements.
