Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to strengthen and deepen the knowledge acquired during the Bachelor's study of exercise physiology. This knowledge is then applied in the conditions of selected cyclic and acyclic sports and in the area of prescription of health enhancing physical activity. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student: 1) Is able to describe the neuro-humoral control of the response of the organism to physical load, 2) Knows in detail the reaction and adaptation of various body systems to physical load, 3) Is able to describe resting and load metabolism, 4) Knows the physiological aspects of various sports games and sports disciplines, 5) Is able to describe the significance of physical activity for the prevention diseases resulting from hypokinesia, 5) Knows the principles of prescription of physical activity.

Prerequisites
|
A prerequisite for completing this course is knowledge of anatomy, general physiology and physiology of load from the Bachelor's study.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Oral exam, Dialog
Active participation in lectures. To obtain a credit is necessary to pass a partial credit tests criterions. At the end of the course the students take an oral exam.
