Course content
1. Bohemian Brethern Church Eduation and the educational inpacts of the european religious reformation 2. Comenius - a man in the labyrinth of the world (the inpacts of the european crisis in the 17th century on Comenius life and work) 3. Ianua Linguarum Reserata, Orbis Sensualium Pictus as the instrument of lingual education and as the encyclopaedia of Comenius world - the way to Pansofia 4. Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Hearth, Via Lucis - mystic roots of Comenius thinkings 5. Didactica Magna, Opera Didactica Omnia - educational beliefs of Comenius 6. Pampaedia - education as the key instrument to the general remedy of things of man.

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on the system of beliefs on the education in the Comenius writings. It introduce the structure and the content Comenius key writings and his published beliefs in the context of the historical patterns of thinking. Comenius beliefs of education are not represented as the uniqeu theroretical system, but as the part of the system of general remedy of people things. The part of the subject is characterization of the changes of Comenius thinkings interpretation in the 19th and the 20th century.
After the finishing the student will be able: - to characterize the comenius system of thinking of education - to describe the basic writings of Comenius (Didactica Magna, De Rerum Humanarum Emendatione Consultatio Catholica, Ianua Linguarum Reserata, Orbis Sensualium Pictus, Opera Didactica Omnia, Schola Infantiarum) - to identify the main theoretical sources of Comenius beliefs on education.
