Course content
Introduction to foreign language didactics. Main concepts of didactics and methodology of foreign language. Organizational forms in foreign language teaching. Motivation in foreign language teaching. Development of language skills. Songs in foreign language teaching at the first stage of primary school. The use of modern information and communication technologies in foreign language teaching at the first level of primary school.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: " define and clarify basic terminology in the field of didactics and methodology of foreign language teaching, " master the basic organisational forms suitable for foreign language teaching, " analyse types of teaching materials for initial foreign language teaching, " characterise and develop language skills in initial foreign language teaching, " be able to didactically develop foreign language songs for initial foreign language teaching, " gain an awareness of the possibilities of developing motivation in foreign language teaching, " to be able to use modern information technology in the foreign language classroom.

Student performance

Active participation in lessons, continuous performance of tasks assigned by the teacher, creation of a demonstration lesson with a focus on grade 1 pupils.
