Course content
Project-based instruction, basic characteristics, pros and cons. History teaching project in the Czech Republic and abroad. Phase of the project. Types of projects. Group work. Objectives of the project-based learning, pedagogical aspects of project-based learning. Projects beyond one subject, inter-relationships within projects. Projects implemented within one subject. Project-based instruction and internet. E-mail projects. Project work in schools (comparison). ETwinning. Evaluation within project-based learning. Project instruction and textbooks.

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: - terminology to define concepts: design education, project, project method, teaching methods, organizational forms, learning strategy - summarize the current state of knowledge in the field of design education - explain the positives and negatives of project-based learning - explain the main differences between project and project-oriented teaching - enumerate phases of project work - Explain the benefits of project-based learning to teach foreign languages - clarify the procedures work on project development - design, create, schedule your own project operational in German language teaching at primary school - analyze, evaluate and develop projects for teaching foreign language at the 2nd st. Elementary School
Students will acquire basic information and knowledge from theory, familiar with terms related to project education and is able to create a project for primary school pupils .
Prerequisites
Active knowledge of German language, communication skills and creative thinking.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Active participation in seminars, processing and presentation created project. Students work up project with elements of interdisciplinarity, applicable in German language teaching 2nd St. Elementary School.
