Learning outcomes
Discussions about the main questions regarding musicology and its methods. Presentations of the research topics of the lecturers from the department as well as musicologists outside the university.
Students have better knowledge in various areas of music theory, history and aesthetics, and systematic disciplines of musicology. They have more qualified idea about the possible specializations of their major, about the choice of the diploma or the dissertation thesis and also about applying their knowledge and experience in practise. They will acquaintine themselves with practical experience from the top-class musicians and musicologists.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in the area of music theory. history, and taxonomy of musicology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Questionnaire

Individual preparation for the seminar based on the announced topics, 75% attendance of the lessons, active participation in a discussion. Recapitulation of the seminar?s content in form of a final test.
