Course content
1. Definition of the conference paper 2. Definition of methodology 3. Planning the paper's structure 4. Preparation of individual parts of the conference paper 5. Identification of an appropriate national conference 6. Editing according to a conference character 7. Submission of the abstract 8. Possible style or content alterations 9. Presentation of the paper at the national conference and a participation in the discussion 10.Credits based on a presentation of the conference paper and on the proposal of a tutor are given by a guarantor of the PhD studies in theory and history of music The course is supported by the project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0179 Diverzifikace a systematizace postgraduálního studia na FF UP Olomouc.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to learn how to prepare a paper and how to present it at the national musicological conference.
Skills acquired: - ability to define topic and methodology for a national conference paper - ability to plan a conference paper - ability to edit a conference paper - ability to communicate with the organizer of the national musicological conference - ability to present a paper at the national musicological conference - ability to answer questions and discuss on the topic of a paper at the national musicological conference

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Writing a conference paper under tutor supervision, selection of an appropriate national conference, submission of the abstract, communication with the organizers, presentation a paper at the national conference and participation in the discussion.
