Course content
Developmental psychology and its relation to other psychological disciplines. Basic theories of developmental psychology focused on cognitive development, psychosexual development, psychosocial development and theory of moral development. The various stages of life and their developmental characteristics: prenatal development, newborn, infant, toddler, school age, adolescence, adulthood, old age.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to: - present developmental psychology as a science - Explain the basic concepts on the field of developmental psychology - Present basic theories of human development - characterizes developmental stages of human development - to highlight the interactions of developmental psychology and pedagogy The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Students will be able to orientate in the most important theories and problems of developmental psychology and apply it in practice.
Prerequisites
There are no special preconditions for this subject study.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation in class. Pass the final test successfully (70% = passing). The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
