Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic structure of social pathological phenomena in society, their incidence, the degree of danger and with the prevention of these phenomena and redresses. Between the undesirable socio-pathological phenomena will be included: unemployment and homelessness. Between the dangerous social pathologies will be included: sectarianism, racism, home violence and sexual violence. Students will also acquire a basic understanding of organizations operating in the Czech Republic and their work content towards prevention or solutions of social pathological phenomena in society. Students will be introduciton with the basics of crisis intervention. The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091
- Students will be able, after the completion of this course, to recognize socially pathological phenomena in society and they will have competence on how these situations and phenomena should be addressed. In addition to these skills they will have basic knowledge of Czech Legislation, which is related to socio-pathological phenomena.

Oral exam, Seminar Work

tudents will actively engage in discussions, prepare a prevention project on a selected topic as group work, and they will present it. This course will conclude with an examination. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS MOODLE.
