Course content
Introduction to basic educational concepts. Introduction to general education (pedagogy as a science and its relationship to other disciplines) Education as a subject of pedagogy (definition, aim, content, phases) Methodology of Education (approaches in research, types of measurement, characterization of methods used for data collection) Teacher and pupil Personality of the teacher.

Learning outcomes
On the basis of this course, the student should remember the basic pedagogical concepts (education, self-education, aims of education, the content of education, educational process and its stages) and understand them. He/she should also be able to define its subject matter and pedagogy as well as in the system of scientific disciplines. In addition to that, students should understand the relationship between teacher and student and be able to apply the principles of good communication in the learning process, able to motivate pupils and students should also be able to understand the importance of the teacher's profession. On the basis of studying the topic concerning the methodology of pedagogy, students should be able to remember (define) basic types of educational research, describe the methods of data collection and in accordance with the literature find a suitable method of processing data in their research project.
Students have basic view over the general education and problems of educational process.

No special prerequisites are required to study the subject.

The course is completed by passing a written test and interview. The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS Moodle. Students with an individual plan: The above requirements apply. + write a book review (current literature will always be offered to teachers).
