Course content
- Pedagogical diagnostics - history, paradigms, pedagogical diagnosis, the subject of pedagogical diagnostics, the process of pedagogical diagnostics - Strategies in pedagogical diagnostics - Methods of pedagogical diagnostics - Diagnosis of individual areas (school maturity, teacher and pupil, teacher self-diagnostics, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, specific learning difficulties, specific learning disabilities, basics of family diagnostics, school social climate, projective methods)

Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
Students should be able to: - explain the place of pedagogical diagnostics in the system of pedagogy, - define basic diagnostic concepts, - Understand the principle of the diagnostic process - Accept ethical and legal aspects of pedagogical diagnostics - describe individual methods of pedagogical diagnostics, - administer and apply diagnostic methods (tools, techniques) - Use the portfolio as a diagnostic method - Develop a simple diagnostic project and apply it to a particular phenomenon under investigation.
Students will gain knowledge and abilities usable in the pedagogical-diagnostic process. Students will understand the strategies and methods in pedagogical diagnostics. They will be able to make the pedagogical diagnosis in selected areas.

No special prerequisites are required to study the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Seminar Work

- active participation in the seminars (3 possible absences) - fulfillment of given tasks within the specified date Long task - seminar paper (based on practice work with the specific diagnostic method) Students with an individual plan: The above requirements apply. + write a book review (current literature will always be offered to teachers); analyze the selected diagnostic method when used in practice.
