Course content
The topis of Basics in Andragogy concerns: concepts of adult education, the structure of the discipline and its subject, basic terminology in adult education, types of adult education (institutional, leisure, civic, professional), particularities in adult education, a profile of a lecturer in adult education (speficifying his/her role), educational forms and methods used in adult education, distant forms and professional education, manpower education, leisure education for adults, elderly education and the role of massmedia in adult education.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is that the students should define the current concept of adult education and its relationship to social pedagogy, they will also remember the basic concepts of adult education and understand them. The aim is also to present for the students individual types of adult education in the process of lifelong learning. At the same time students will identify possibilities for contemporary concept of distance learning, know the basic terminology in human resources agenda, and in presented case studies they will analyse the problems usually solved by the personnel manager and on the basis of this analysis the students will come up with their own solution to such a situation. During the studies they will be able to understand what impact the media has on the adult education and they will be able to define terms such as media literacy, they will be able to evaluate the influence of media on the adult population.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

- Active participation in the seminars (if the student was not present during the tutorial, he/she sends in a task - please see MOODLE), - passing the test (at least 70%).
