Course content
Assessment and its pitfalls in social work. Theory of life situation - social context of social work, postmodernism in life situation, positive turn of view - family resilience. Theory of life situation assessment - truth in life situation assessment, approaches to assessment: search for the source of reflexive approach, reflexivity in assessment and in social work, systematic assessment in reflexive relationship, reflexive use of theories in the process of life situation assessment. Examples of application of theory in assessment - theory of therapeutic, counseling and reform hypothesis. Finalization discretion.

Learning outcomes
The subject innovation has been supported by the project Support of Interdisciplinary studies and Study Programmes Innovations at Palacký University in Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091. The course aims to introduce students to the problems of assessing the life situation (alternative notion of diagnosis, history) client in the context of selected methodologies and theoretical perspectives.
Student: - Knowledge of theories, terms, concepts in the issue of assessment - The ability to choose an adequate theoretical concept evaluation (one or more) - The ability to choose and use appropriate methods and techniques of assessment - Ability to assess - Skill of a structured interview, structured presentation skills
