Course content
Knowledge of theoretical bases of immunology enabling an understanding of physiological immune mechanisms in a healthy organism; understanding of pathological immunological processes involved in the pathogenesis of a disease with an immunological component with emphasis on dental medicine; knowledge of immunological laboratory examinations.

Learning outcomes
Students will acquire basic knowledge of medical immunology and their practical applications. Emphasis will be given to those aspects of immunological theory and practice which link to dental medicine. The course includes also short demonstrations of methods in laboratory immunology.
Student will be able to implement acquired knowledge namely in patient therapy and management and also in in scientific and research activities.
