Course content
Diploma seminar will have following parts and will precede it: - During the winter exam period of the second year of studies students will attend a presentation of BA thesesis of their older colleagues. - Following three months will be, in the cooperation with members of archive studies section of Department of History, looking for ideal topic of their work. This effort will be concluded with definitive assignment of thesis topic at the beginning of the summer exam period. - At the end of the winter semester of the third year of studies students will defend topic of their work in front of their younger colleagues. Diploma seminar as such will focus on presentation, analysis and discussion over short papers and texts - future chapters of individual BA thesesis. Each student will hand in one chapter, including footnotes and citations of literature and primary sources, of their future work 5-8 pages long. In the remaining time some of the topics of the final exam can be discussed.

Learning outcomes
To create a methodological environment for preparation of classification works and especially their written forms. During informal meetings students will focus on formal and stylistic requirements of their final work. In the remaining time some of the topics of the final exam can be discussed.
Student will get feedback for part of his or her work and can improve its writing and formal requirements.

Student performance, Seminar Work

Attendance at least 90%. Preparation for classes. Handing in a chapter of final work.
