Course content
Seminar topics: 1.-2. Law about archives and records management and regulation about details of procedure of records management. 3.-4. National standard and other law regulations for performance of records management. 5.-6. Procedure of records management - reception and evidence of documents. 7.-8. Procedure of records management - handling, creating, signing, sending, archiving of documents. 9.-10. Creation of record (connection of documents, collection sheet), type records, hybrid record. 11.-12. Selection of archive material - discarding, selection of archive material outside of discarding procedure. 13.-14. Control and supervision in records management. 15.-16. Records office. 17.-18. Creation of records rules - creation of methodic examples. 19.-20. Records management in paper form and in electronic systems of records management. 21.-22. Records management of county offices, cities and towns. 23.-24. Records management of schools, cultural and medical institutions. 25.-26. How to handle documents of business companies. Seminars will focus on methodical creation of records rules for public originators, preparation of discarding process.

Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to teach students to work with different electronic systems of record management, to manage records management in paper form and to prepare records rules for different types of public and private originators.
Knowledge of terminology and legislature regulations. Student is able to orient in administration of records management in paper form or in electronic systems of records management. Students is also able to create records rules for public and private originators thanks to seminars and homework.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites. Advantage of knowledge from one of the actual systems of records management.

Student performance, Written exam

Attendance at least 90%. Fulfilment of given tasks.
