Course content
Seminar topics: 1. Intorduction to subject, literature and methodics. 2. Theoretical introduction of archive fund, ways of organization and inventarization. 3. Archive handbook - its parts and characteristics individual parts of its introduction. 4. Archive handbook - creation of inventory register/manipulation list. 5. Methodics of particular archive material. 6. Organizational work of particular archive material (deeds, official books). 7. Organizational work of particular archive material (official books). 8. Organizational work of particular archive material (register handbooks). 9. Organizational work of particular archive material (record material). 10. Organizational work of particular archive material (record material). 11. Organizational work of particular archive material (book material). 12. Organizational work of particular archive material (other material). 13. Completion of catalogued documents, manual for creation of manipulation list.

Learning outcomes
Theoretical introduction together with seminars should give students an idea about how the archivist decides during processing of particular fund, and to help them learn principles of classification, organization and inventarization of different types of archive material (official books, record and book material). With the application of methodics, students should be able to find the best way of work for particular fund (preservation of existing division, implementation of new schemes according to methodics), creation of manipulation list. Aim of the seminars is to teach students general orientation in archive funds and with help of practical seminar to show them who documents look during takeover, how to choose organization system and processing and inventarization as such.
Knowledge of general terminology and literature which enables student to look for methodics for organization and inventarization of funds. Student is able to divide particular archive material on general categories and to describe it in the manipulation list.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites. Follows theoretical basics from Archive studies course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Final Report

Attendance at least 80%. Credits given based on active participation during seminar and manipulation list.
