Course content
Seminars will focus on selected fields in the Greek society (historiography, democracy and tyranny, totalitarianism, otherness, religion and mythology, everyday life) and their afterlife via analysis of primary sources (works of ancient authors) and chapters from modern publications and articles connected to the topics of the seminars. The programme will be presented during the first session and accessible via Moodle. Readings for seminars (primary sources/secondary literature) as well as other resources will be also at Moodle.

Learning outcomes
Description of the phenomenona and processes in the Greek society which influenced the development of the humankind. Ability of the analysis and interpretation of fundamental sources and literature for the topics of the seminars.
Ability of the independent analysis and interpretation of fundamental sources and literature for the topics of the seminars. Ability of discussion oved chosen topics of history of Ancient Greece.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Written exam

Active participation (preparation of assigned sources and literature), attendance (at most 2 absences), final test (analysis of the selected piece of primary source).
