Course content
Students will secure an internship in one of the state archives (National Archive, Moravian Provincial Archive in Brno, Provincial Archive in Opava, state regional or state county archives, Archive of Prague, Archive of Brno, Archive of Ostrava, Archive of Plzeň or Archive of Ústí nad Labem) based on his or hers preferences and time options. Students also has to agree to conditions of the internship - the best would be if students experiences different kinds of activities. Student, in cooperation with the guarantor, has to fulfil other requirements (especially conclusion of an Agreement of securing the internship between chosen archive and Palacký University). All this should take place one month before the beginning of the internship. Student have to inform the guarantor about the dates and place of the internship, as also about all the changes so there unscheduled inspection of the students can take place. Students will write a report about the internship based on a before known template at the end of the internship. He or she will describe progress of the internship, undertaken activities and will evaluate benefits of the internship for his or hers further professional development. Report will be a subject of discussion between student and guarantor of the internship and it should provide necessary feedback.

Learning outcomes
Main aim of this course is to introduce student as much as possible with work in state archives and to get to know his or her future job. Meaning of the course is to enable students to try different duties of an archivist.
Student will get to know chosen archive, its history and funds in its deposits. He or she will get an idea about the position and job description of an archivist and will deepen theoretical knowledge from lectures from archive studies course, auxiliary historical disciplines and history of administration.

Student performance, Questionnaire

Completing an internship in duration of 80hours (2 work weeks, 8 hours a day). Report about the internship.
