Course content
Lectures are focused on the selected areas of the field and various types of diplomatic material (of aristocratic, municipal, patrimonial, guild, university and school proveninence). Students will be taught to orient in the material of all institutions after 1620. Due to the connection with the administration seminars and lectures will deal with the offices and their documents. Some seminar will také place in ZA in Brno, some in affiliate of ZAO in Olomouc, others in SokA in Olomouc - all of them will be supplemented with the orientation in the material sources in these archives. Students will be processing various types of the diplomatic material in the lessons.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with diplomatics of particular administration - this course follows the course: History of administration. A student should gain information about basic terms, methods and literature of early modern diplomatics. A student should get basic knowledge of diplomatic sources of the most important institutions in the field of particular administration of the Czech lands. The aim of seminars is to teach students to distinguish types of diplomatic sources in archival funds of various institutions, to classify them, to describe them, to compile the mand to make them accessible. Students will be also familiar with various edition rules used for early modern administrative documents and the most important editions of ear lymodern diplomatic sources. HF HF
Students learn to know basic diplomatic and historical sources of the particular administration in the Czech lands till 1848 and to work with them. HF
Prerequisites
The knowledge of current script reading and basics of German language for reading materials in original. The knowledge will be proved when working with sources and writing a paper (3-5 pages). Reading of Czech texts for chosen classes - 20-30 pages. HF

Credit requirements: Attendance and writing a paper (topic: The diplomatic description of an administrative book). HF
