Course content
The introduction into the course will take place in a seminar room of archival science where students will be acquaint with basics of oral history and aims of the course. The second part consists of few-day fieldwork in groups of people in previously chosen localities: recording and rewriting of interviews, its coding and data analyzation, a compilation of the photo documentation, a consultation of progress and results with a lector of the course. The conlusion of the course supposes the analyzation of results, evaluation of student´s work and the course itself; publishing of the course´s results at a project´s website is included. HF

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with oral history as a modern, developing discipline, which stands between humaninities and social sciences. The emphasis will be put on methodology of research in a relation to realized domestic as well as foreign projects. Students will practice individual phases of a qualitative research under the leadership of a lector. The result should be recording of losing information about repairing and saving ruin churches in 1970s and 1980s from various points of view. The course was established under the terms of the project Innovation of Historical Sciences Studies at Palacký University, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0025. HF
Students will practice individual phases of a qualitative research under the leadership of a lector: e.g. A selection of a project topic, a sort of people suitable for an interview etc. HF
Prerequisites
20 students from Bachelor studies of single and double History programme or Archival Science: a course B, for the others: a course C. HF

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Active seminar participation, a fieldwork with a result of completing of interviews about a church reconstruction and its analysis. There are 4 credits for a credit and a colloquium. HF
