Course content
1st Space and time borders of theme, situation in Central Europe in the end of La Téne Period and Roman Period. Introduction to antiquity numismatic - terminology, sources. 2nd August foreign politic in Central European space, origin of roman provincies Noricum and Pannony. Coin of helenistic Greece (without Italy). 3rd Teutonic tribes in Central Europe, Marobud Empire, Vanniovo kingdom, coin in south Italian Greece, Etrusk and non-roman Itally. 4th - 5th North Pannony limes and important military camps and civil housing estates at limit (Vindobona, Carnuntum, Brigetio, Aquincum), Coin in Roman Empire I-II 6thDak kingdom and gain of Dacie by Roman during Traianus, Finds of republican coins and its interpretation. 7th Political, economical and cultural history of Pannony to markomany war, coins from Caesar Augustus to Caesar Traianus. 8th Political, economical and cultural Pannony to Markomany war, Coin from Caesar Vespasianus to Caesar Commodus. 9th Markomany wars, its aspect of origin, during war and results, coin from Severov dynasty. 10th Roman military stations v Updonau barbariccum, provisory roman military camps, coins from tetrarchy to Constantin dynasty. 11th History of Roman province Dacia. Coins of 4 to 5thcentury. 12th - 13rd History Noriccum and Pannony to the end of its existence. Important proofs of roman coins and its interpretation. Import of roman coins to barbaricum.

Learning outcomes
Subject is determinated to lectures of roman provinces and roman numismatic. Main target is familiarization with intervence of Romans to Central Europe and with history of Roman provincies in this geographical space. Second part of this subject are characteristic aspects of development of coin ín Antiquity Roma and Roman Imperia from 3th century BC to 5thcentury AD.
Student gains basic information to issue of roman province in Central Europe and roman coins. Student is ability to orientation in Czech and basic foreign professional literature to this theme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance

Oral conversation, presence at subject in scale at least 90 %. (1) Excursion (lecture, seminar): 52 hours = 2 credits; (2) Study of information sources: 25 hours = 1 credit, (3) Preparation to Examination: 50 hours = 2 credits.
