Learning outcomes
The course is devoted to selected problems of settlement structures and strategies in past - which role played environmental conditions in site foundation, how a proximity of communication, occurence of strategic raw materials, settlement tradition influenced this option etc. Mutual spatial relations between settlement and funeral areas will be analyzed, as well as relations between cult areas, trade and production sites, intra-site spatial relations etc. These topics will be demonstrated on case-studes of famous archaeological excavations both in Czech Republic and abroad.

Prerequisites
Basic orientation in the archaeological cultures acquired in the bachelor's degree.
