Course content
1st Introduction: funeral areas and funeral rites - definition. 2nd Beginnings - Mesolithic/Neolithic funeral areas at Europe. 3rd Balkan neolithic necropolis. 4th Funeral areas of Culture with Linear Pottery. 5th Funeral areas of middle-neolithic postlinear culture/group in Middle and West Europe. 6th Funeral areas of Lengyel culture. 7th Funeral areas of Culture Varna and next more Balkan culture at begging of Chalcolithic. 8th Funeral areas in Carpatian basin at begging Eneolithic/Chalcolithic. 9th Funeral areas of East Europe at era of Upper Neolithic and beginning of Eneolithic/Chalcolithic. 10th Funeral areas of Epilengyel cultural group and next culture of Early and Older to Middle Eneolithic (Upper Neolithic) at Middle and West Europe. 11th Funeral areas of Funnel Beaker Culture. 12th Funeral areas of Baden culture. 13th Summary.

Learning outcomes
Subject is focused on complex detailed description of funeral rite in Neolithic, Older and Middle Eneolithic on European continent. Subject describe each type of funeral areas at each periods and regions, description of graves, its construction and rig, internal chronology etc. Matters are presented on selected sites.
Knowledge of studied matters - development of critical thinking.
Prerequisites
For absolving of this subject is necessarily good orientation in Neolithic/Eneolithic on level bachelors study.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Dialog

(1) Excursion (Exercise): 26 hours = 1 credit; (2) Study of information sources, preparation to Colloquium: 50 hours = 2 credits.
