Course content
Topics of lectures (are not similar with each lesson) 1st Introduction, information about organization. 2nd Why Postmedieval Period. 3rd Comunication revolution in Postmedieval Period. 4th Myth Bila Hora and contemporary historiography. 5th "You are living, you remember to death" - Death and salvation in Early Postmedieval Period in contexts of confessional determination of society. 6th Cross and crescent - Europe and Osman empire in Postmedieval Period. 7th Monster or paradise? - Saint Roman Empire of German nation. 8th Saint Roman Empire in era of reformation and konfesionalization. 9th "Searching of saint history" in baroque historiography. 10th What did Martin Luther experience in tower? 11th Confesionalization of European society. 12th Fight between Carnival and Lent, Folk culture of Postmedieval Period. 13th Macrocosmos - Space in Postmedieval Period. 14th Time in Poistmedieval Period. 15th Crisis of postmedieval culture. 16th Enlightenment.

  • Attendace - 5 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students are familiar with general trends of development in Early Postmedieval Period with focusing on cultural development of European civilization. Part of subject is orientation in historiographical production to study phenomen.
Students are learned to orientation in different themes from history of Postmedieval Period.
Prerequisites
Basic overview in history of Postmedieval Period on level of secondary school.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Attend entrance turitorial - 1 hour: acquainted with content and form study of subject. Attendance at running tutorial: four lectures about chapters from history of Postmedieval Period. Consultations - two consultations at the begginig and in running of semester at least - determination of procedure of individual studies and establish tasks. When student need, he can establish more consultations. Student can select form of consultation with lecturers - personal, by email, skype, facebook etc. Control of study is solved by series of tasks, which student has to discharge between consultations.
