Course content
Active participation in professional archaeological prospection with the use of metal detectors in various regions (especially in the Central and South Moravia, or Olomouc and Zlín regions). The specific location and date of prospection will be determined at the beginning of the respective semester according to the current requirements of archaeological monument care in the region, ongoing grant projects and climatic conditions. It is necessary to work at least 50 hours within each subject (participation in field exercises, independent prospective activity within a selected region, short written work on selected topics).

Learning outcomes
Acquisition of basic practical knowledge of realization and evaluation of field archaeological prospection using metal detector including legislative impact.
Gaining practical experience with archaeological field research using metal detectors.

Knowledge from subject Theory of archaeological research and Archaeological prospection 1.
