Learning outcomes
The practice focuses on material culture of La Tene Period. Besides the artefact theory, the archaeological sources, their transformations and variability of purpose and use, the production processes and technologies are also discussed. Various types of imports from the territories of Classical antiquity civilizations that appear on the Czech territory, are also introduced. A part of the practice focuses on problems of crafts in settlements (production centres) and their traces in archaeological sources. The artefactual sources ceramics, metal, glass, stone, organic artefacts are among the topics that are discussed more thoroughly in the practice. The metodic processes of work with archaeological sources, their analysis, description, structures synthesis and interpretation are demonstrated.
Good orientation in the area of study.
Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of La Tene Period is required. The knowledge acquired in the "Artefaktuální archeologie I-V" (Artefactual archaeology I-V) subject of the bachelor study is also necessary.
