Course content
|
Lessons of conservation and restoration of archaeological metal artefacts. Practical exercises with archaeological metal finds. Mechanical cleaning, manual and sand blasting, conservation and restoration. Digital processing of archaeological drawing documentation in graphic software (e.g. Gimp). Individual practical exercises of laboratory processing of archaeological finds.

Learning outcomes
|
Acquiring of the practical experience of work with the archeological metal material.
Knowledge of techniques in conservation and restoration of archaeological metal artefacts. Gaining skills in - conservation and restoration of archaeological metals and digital processing of archaeological drawing documentation, further basic cleaning, classification and inventoring of archaeological finds.

|
The basic overview in the archeological cultures in Central Europe.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Systematic Observation of Student
Activity in seminar lessons, parallel tuitions with lector, fulfilment of schduled tasks and individual work in practical exercises.
