Learning outcomes
Fundamental course in structural geology.
The students should be able to: - classify primary and secondary structures of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. - describe properties of the rock material and its behaviour under stress and strain - understand deformation of minerals and rocks, describe structures of homogenous deformation and shear zones. - classify and characterize faults, fissures and fractures, folds, thrust- and nappe structures.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of physical geology and methods of geological work in the field and laboratory.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Written test proving the knowledge of presented problems
