Course content
Overview of the geology and rock environment on the territories of National Parks and Preserved landscape areas of the Czech Republic. Characterisation of remarkable geological and geomorphological objects from these areas and further selected objects from the categories of National natural preserves and Natural monuments. The importance of protected areas and objects from the viewpoint of preservation of distinctive landscaping elements of the area as well as of material documents of the history of geological evolution of our territory.

Learning outcomes
Overview of the geology on the territories of National Parks and Preserved landscape areas of the Czech Republic.
The students should be able to: - describe the geology and rock environment on the territories of National Parks and Preserved landscape areas of the Czech Republic - Characterise remarkable geological and geomorphological objects from these areas and further selected objects from the National natural preserves and Natural monuments. - explain the importance of protected areas and objects from the viewpoint of preservation of distinctive landscaping elements.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of rocks, general geology and geography of the Czech republic.
