Course content
|
1. Presentation at general level (lecture) - general principles, structure, content, typography etc. 2. Presentation at general level (lecture) - practical examples of presentations - discussion about the positives and negatives of the presentations 3. Presentation in practice - presentations prepared by students followed by discussion and brainstorming (pros and cons); possibilities how make the presentation more creative and effective - dialogue-diagnostic methods - discussion of the student´s performance (3 lessons) 4. Introduction of the software Mathematica and its usage - general (its coverage in different fields + basic operations realized in the software) - presentation, demonstration, and practice (2 lessons) 5. Chemistry and Mathematica - brainstorming - discussion of possible usage and results for chemical purpose 6. Demonstration of some possible applications in the field of chemistry - directions (presentation + demonstration) 7. Usage of the software Mathematica for chemical practice - student´s presentations (2-3 lessons)

|
Students, attending the course, will be able to apply the gained knowledge and experience in the field of presentation preparation and usage of Mathematica software.

Student performance
Attendance at 75% of seminars, preparation of 2 presentations according to the assignment, active participation at the seminars.
