Course content
Sorption of gas, physisorption, chemisorption, principles of specific surface area and porosity measurement, adosorbents, adsorbates. Methods of adsorption isotherms measurements and its classification, hysteresis loops, microporosity, mesoporosity. Adsorption isotherms, Langmuir isotherm, BET isotherm (BET theory), evaluation of isotherms by using the BET method, capillary condensation. Chemisorption, characterization of catalysts surface, material analysis for gas storage. Practical examples of measurements and results evaluation.

Learning outcomes
Students will reach knowledge about principial characteristics of measurement of specific surface area of materials and its porosity; eveluation of measuremnets and application.
