Scientific literature. General bibliographic databases (Pubmed, Web of Science, EBSCO, ProQuest, etc.). Full-text databases, general and publisher. Biotechnological and biomedical databases (NCBI, ExPASy, EMBL-EBI, HGNC). Sequence and structure databases. Comparison of nucleic acids and protein sequences. Searching for genes. Functional genomics. Classification of proteins and proteomics. Posttranslational modifications of proteins. Phylogenetic studies and comparative genomics.
