Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to instruct the students in what it means to create dramaturgy of a specific cultural venue/institution. In the seminar, the students will, first, get acquainted with the methods of creating a programme for a cultural institution and then discuss an imagined dramaturgical plan for the Theatre Hall, managed by the Department, for one semester that could be translated into practice. A by-product of the seminar may be the formation of a dramaturgical council for the hall, consisting of teachers and students, which will try and translate the dramaturgical plan into practice.
Students will receive training in group and project work, understand better the systems of cultural management regarding the creation of a dramaturgical plan of an institution and become familiar with the process of creating a dramaturgical plan for a theatre/cultural institution. Upon completion of the course, they will be familiar with the basic mechanisms and issues of creating a concrete dramaturgical concept and will be able to think creatively about how to implement it in a concrete environment.
