Learning outcomes
The lecture is based on Christopher Balme's book The Cambridge introduction to theatre studies and targets fundamental principles, concepts, notions and problems of contemporary theatre and performance studies. It also provides general introduction into basic literature on the topic.
Student will know key concepts, notions and problems of contemporary of theatre and performance studies and will be able to discuss them. They will also have a general overview of basic literature on the subject.
Prerequisites
No limits. The course is design for first year´s undergraduate students and is taught in Czech language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Written exam

Students are supposed to be interested in the topic, actively engaged continuously preparing themselves for the seminar and also actively engaged in the debate. Students have to fulfil two or three homework assignments during the semester.
